  • 80g Fonio flour
  • 20g corn flour
  • 65g margarine
  • 15g grounded sugar
  • 15g brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 50g chocolate chips
  • egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla flavour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder


  1. In a clean bowl, add room temperature margarine, add grounded sugar, add brown sugar and whisk for 5mins. Add egg and vanilla flavour and mix for 2mins.
  2. In a sieve, add fonio flour, corn flour, baking powder and sieve into the margarine mix.
  3. Using a spatula, mix both wet and dry ingredients until it is well mixed.
  4. Add chocolate chips and mould into small balls using your both hands.
  5. Refrigerate moulded balls for 1 hour, and then place separately in a pan for baking.
  6. Bake at 150 degrees for 45mins.
