Learn how to cook fonio in 4 easy steps:

  1. In a medium pot or saucepan, add a cup of water and bring to a boil. Once the water comes to a boil, add in one cup of fonio and allow to cook for 1 minute.
  2. Bring your heat to a minimum and cover your pot. Let the fonio cook to its own steam for about 4 minutes.
  3. Add additional water, if needed, to get your desired consistency. 
  4. Turn the heat off and fluff your Fonio to ensure it doesn’t stick together.
